Our trainers also offer a variety of on-demand workshops for teams who are already familiar with AI. You can request one of these custom trainings through our Custom Training Enquiry Form.
Below are listed our courses titles for the upcoming term, if any are of interest please click through to learn more.
Course themes:
- Getting Started with AI: Introductory Training for Oxford Staff & Students
- Quick Guides to AI
- Philosophy of AI
- AI in Education
- AI for Coding
- AI for Researchers
You can also find links to some of the other training happening across the University under Other training
Our trainings are organised into four 'audience exposure' levels as follows:
- Level 1: Never used AI
These individuals have no prior experience using AI tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar. They may be unfamiliar with basic terminology and functionality. - Level 2: Sometimes use AI
Users in this group have experimented with AI occasionally - perhaps using it for idea generation, writing help, or coding assistance, but not consistently. - Level 3: Use AI on a daily basis
Regular AI users who likely incorporate tools into their daily workflow. They are typically comfortable with prompts, plugins, and productivity use cases. - Open to all
This applies to sessions open to all experience levels. Content is likely designed to be inclusive and adaptable depending on participant input.
Getting Started with AI: Introductory Training for Oxford Staff & Students
For the University-wide rollout of ChatGPT Edu, the rollout team has curated supportive, jargon-free sessions to get all Oxford staff and students feeling confident to start experimenting with these tools in your own work and studies.
There are three offerings to choose from:
- Online training
A series of webinars for all staff and students, throughout Michaelmas term - In-person training
Free courses at IT Services, Banbury Road, open to all staff and students - Group training
Custom training can be requested to get your entire team/department or student cohort upskilled together. Colleges and departments can request these sessions to train all their students together (SSO staff login required)
"This is a “must do” course if you want to more easily stay up to date and make the most of AI emerging possibilities. Your students will embrace this and it probably not a good idea to be left behind!"
