As places are limited to 40 participants, please register only if you are confident that you will be able to attend this in-person event

Run by the Centre for Teaching and Learning, with support from the AI Competency Centre, this will be a practical, hands-on day focused on building with AI tools rather than listening to presentations. Participants will work in small teams to create tangible outputs for learning technology using tools such as Google AI Studio and Codex.

The programme is intentionally flexible and will be shaped, where possible, by participants' interests and project ideas. When registering, you will have the opportunity to suggest a project, workflow, or challenge that you would like to explore during the day. We will do our best to accommodate these ideas in the programme. There will be ongoing support, troubleshooting, and discussion throughout the day.

The provisional plan for the day includes:

  • A short introduction and overview of current AI agent tools for learning technology
  • Brief demonstrations of practical AI workflows using tools such as Google AI Studio and Codex
  • Formation of small working groups
  • Hands-on Activity 1

Lunch

  • Hands-on Activity 2
  • Group sharing, demonstrations, and constructive critique of outputs
  • Final reflections on lessons learned, future possibilities, and next steps for the community
