I have been using AI to load meeting notes and create summaries, to do light web research, and to co-developing communication pieces. My new favourite way to use it is improving day-to-day communication with neurodivergent colleagues. I write my email and then ask ChatGPT to make it more appropriate for someone with, for example, autism. This has generally delivered a better result that has improved communication and reduced misunderstanding.
AI can quickly size up and estimate the viability and approach of new initiatives in a way that might previously have taken a lot longer and required more input just to get to a concept note stage.
My advice is to try it, enjoy it and to read the University guidance, and not to over-rely on it; it’s a tool, not a replacement for human thinking.
