Wrapping up an exciting 2024 at Oxford e-Research Centre
A message from Professor Susanna-Assunta Sansone, Oxford e-Research Centre Director
As we wrap up another exciting year at Oxford e-Research Centre (OeRC), I want to express my sincere gratitude for the people of OeRC for their hard work and dedication
From ground-breaking research to innovative projects, we've accomplished so much together. Many of our PIs and senior staff have advanced within the Centre, the Department and the University. We’ve seen new faces, researchers and students, join our team to advance cutting-edge research, while others have moved on to new opportunities.
Our Admin Team has continued to provide fantastic support over the past year, at an institute that has, at any one point, in excess of 30 research funded projects and 30 DPhil students. The Centre’s website has been given a fresh new look, including plenty of original articles featuring OeRC research and successes being created and posted, and a number of popular internal and external events were co-ordinated and supported. Just look at our News page!
This month, the University's Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Competency Centre joined us within the walls of OeRC, a new team that begins their journey in Engineering Science but one that supports the whole of the University.
Lastly, our greatest strength lies in our collaborative efforts. Your contributions have been invaluable to our ongoing success. As a team, we embody a spirit of unity and shared purpose. That togetherness was also evident at the Centre's recent seasonal celebrations with music, pizza, drinks, and mince pies where the atrium was filled with the sounds of joy and laughter!
Thanks to you, our Centre remains an exceptional place to work and learn. Let's carry this momentum into the new year. Here's to continued collaboration, growth, and achievements in 2025!
Happy Holidays to all,
Professor Susanna-Assunta Sansone
Director, Oxford e-Research Centre
