Is supersonic air travel set to make a comeback?

Once the king of the skies, Concorde is now a museum piece – grounded for being too noisy and too expensive. However a resurgence of interest in the past 5 years in its potential for business travel could mean a comeback for Concorde.

Dr Ashton also explains how his research using supercomputers to design the cars and planes of the future could help make this design process a whole lot faster and more cost-effective.
